Milestone C Privacy and Student Data Policy

Updated and Effective July 21 2021

Milestone C LLC (“Milestone C,” “we,” “us”), provides educational services  intended for education institutions of middle and high school students.  Milestone C’s focus is on Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Career and Technical Education which includes subjects such as robotics, engineering, aviation and coding (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy and Student Data Policy is intended to inform our education institution customers (“Customers”), their educators and students (collectively, “Users,” “you,” “your”) about how we may collect, use, and disclose your personal data. It also describes your choices regarding use, access, and changes to your personal data. It does not apply to our general audience website, which is governed by a separate policy.

 By accessing or using Milestone C’s Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

From Schools – Milestone C collects Name, Employee information, Address, and other relevant information to deliver our services.

From Teachers - Milestone C collects Name, Email, Cell Phone Number, Address, and other relevant information to deliver our services.

From Students – Milestone C does not collect student information unless it is already de-identified of any personal data.  The data we collect is to help improve our product, monitor usage and market our services.

Third Party Providers

We may engage with third party partners to facilitate our delivery of the Services and to provide certain features on our behalf, such as data hosting, analytics, security, and similar functions. These third parties may require a limited amount of information, including Personal data, in order to deliver their services on our behalf. Milestone C’s services also rely on several third parties to allow for delivery of our services.  Some of these third parties do collect school, teacher and student data.  Their privacy policies and data stored are not governed by Milestone C.  We encourage you to review their privacy policies for assurance and proper data protection based on your specific standards.  The below list is provided for convenience.  Should any of the links become broken please notify Milestone C by emailing info@milestonec.com

Curriculum access

Teachers/School: Curriculum access is granted through two sites (depending on the program being used) to Teachers/Schools.  Teacher Accounts are required:

Throughout the various programs/curriculum third party sites are used some of these sites require teacher and student log in, while others are visited by teachers and students without a need for log in.
